HOW TO BOOK

Booking Tickets Online
You can book on-line for most events and activities at the theatre by browsing to the information page about the event you wish to book for, and clicking on the 'Buy Tickets' link. This opens up a new window to the integrated secure online booking service provided for us by PayPal. This service includes a 'shopping cart';  when you have selected tickets for one event, you are given the option to 'add another event', or 'continue' to payment.

Once you have made your booking, you will receive an email confirming the date, time and details of the tickets you have bought.  Please check these carefully, and telephone the box office if there are any mistakes.  If it is this link that has brought you to this page, we regret that on-line booking is not available for the event you are interested in.

(The on-line booking service handles straightforward bookings for small numbers of tickets (less than 10).  If you want group booking discounts or family tickets, please telephone the Box Office on 01744 756 000)

Our online booking facility works through a secure site, and gives you a confirmed booking, with an email giving full details for your records.

Book in Person
To book in person for any performance, contact our Booking Office open Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm. Theatre closed at 6.00pm on Mondays unless there is a performance.

Sometimes our busy lines get overloaded. If you have difficulty getting through simply write you requirements on paper and post to the Box Office, St.Helens Theatre Royal, Corporation Street, St.Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1LQ with a stamped address envelope and cheque (made payable to Regal Entertainment Limited) or credit card details.

Tickets reserved without payment must be paid for within 3 days. If booking within 3 days of the performance, check with the Box Office for the latest time for payment. Telephone on 01744 756 000.

Special Prices

Groups:
Reduced rates may be available at many performances for groups of 10 or more - check the Box Office for details. Telephone St Helens on 01744 756 000.

Concessionary Ticket:
For certain performances, Theatre Royal may offer a price reduction on full-rate theatre tickets for individuals under 16 years and over 60 years.

Conditions of Sale:
No money refunded. Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.

Booking Fees:
Credit / Debit card and Online bookings are all subject to a £1 per ticket booking fee.
Tickets which are posted are subject to a charge of 50 pence per transaction.

Payment:
All major credit cards accepted – Mastercard / Visa / Amex / Switch / Delta.

Terms and Conditions of Ticket Sales

Tickets
St Helens Theatre Royal issues tickets on its own behalf and also on behalf of promoters and organisers.

Please take care of tickets as we may not be able to issue duplicates.

Please check your tickets carefully as mistakes cannot always be rectified.

Tickets purchased five days in advance of the event can be posted to you for a fee, otherwise tickets can be collected from the St Helens Theatre Royal Box Office on production of your debit/credit/charge card.

All ticket prices are inclusive of VAT.

We reserve the right to refuse admission in all reasonable circumstances, including for example where we consider a ticket holder’s behaviour may affect other ticket holders’ enjoyment of the performance. We may on occasion conduct security searches to ensure the safety of visitors.

Every effort will be made to admit latecomers at a suitable break in the performance, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.

It is a condition of sale that tickets shall not be resold for more than the original purchase cost. Any ticket that has been resold in such a manner shall become void and the ticket holder may be refused entry.

Every member of the audience must be in possession of a valid ticket. Defaced or altered tickets shall become void and the ticket holder may be refused entry.

Official merchandise is only available inside the premises.

Safety and Enjoyment:
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on St Helens Theatre Royal premises.

The unauthorised use of cameras or recording equipment is not permitted within the auditorium.

Food and drink (purchased items from Theatre Royal exempt) are not allowed within the auditorium.

Notices:
We suggest that you check performance details prior to travelling as these may be subject to change.

Any complaints relating to any aspect of the performance should be made to the Duty Manager promptly, prior to or during the event.

Audiences may be filmed, photographed or recorded for publicity, broadcast, security and health and safety purposes.

Mobile phones must be switched off before entering the auditorium.
